Her fashion sense is bohemian, she tends to favour jumpers and tunics with jeans or long skirts, and boots. Family: Husband: Curlis 'Chopper' Murphy. Daughter: Nymphadora Tonks. Former Husband: Ted Tonks. Cousin: Sirius Black. Estranged from most of the rest of her family for her first marriage, and feels they are being absolutely daft about it (she misses them and wishes to reconnect). She does try and speak with her nephews, Draco and Nathair, when she can. She is expecting her second child in the next several months. Friends/Allies: Chopper, Tonks, The Prewetts, The Weasleys, Remus, Sirius. Current Love Interest: Chopper Murphy Pet(s)/Familiar: A cat named Easter and an owl named Artemis. Sexual Orientation: Straight Personality: Andromeda is an open, caring, bohemian free spirit who lives life on her own terms. She is always doing something for others. Strengths: Very loyal and caring, will do whatever it takes to get something accomplished, is creative and inquisitive. Weaknesses: Doesn't take enough time for herself, can be a bit tenacious, tries to fight her family's battles for them. Likes: Painting, reading, taking long walks, spending time with Chopper and Dora. Dislikes: The nickname 'Dromeda' (call her 'Andie', please!), narrow-mindedness, ignorance, injustice, people who can't see all sides of the story. Habits: Fidgets when she is nervous, sketches ideas on anything she can find to write on, flips her hair at times. History: Andromeda is the middle child of the three Black daughters, and was sorted into Slytherin at Hogwarts. She was very nearly sorted into Ravenclaw, and was put into Slytherin only because of her name. She was brought up believing in her family's Pureblood ideals, but inwardly, she would question why they believed what they did. Her parents were cold and distant (at least in her eyes), and she was quietly rebellious in her youth. For example, she learned how to cook from the House elves, and didn't exclude anyone from a conversation simply because of blood status. She was against the ideas of arranged marriage, and she dreamed of playing Quidditch even though she didn't dare try. Instead, she turned to art, often getting paint on her clothing and wearing the splattered attire as a badge of pride in her talents. She would often argue with her sisters because they disagreed with her 'rebellious' ways. She did love them though, and still does deep down. When she was in her fifth year, she met Ted Tonks, a Muggleborn wizard also in her year, who was sorted into Hufflepuff. They didn't get along at first, but he never gave up trying to talk to her, and he eventually won her over. She did a complete public turnaround concerning her family's beliefs about blood supremacy, and when she learned that she was pregnant, she eloped with Ted. This caused her to be blasted off of the Black family tree, which she does not regret. Their daughter Nymphadora was born the following summer. She became an artist, using her talent as a way to work from home, and became quite successful. Leaving her family (save for Sirius) was a difficult decision for her, and she spent years wishing to reconnect with her sisters. She had actually left Bellatrix and Narcissa letters telling them the whole story and explaining why she chose what she did, but unknown to Andromeda, they were intercepted by their father before either of her sisters ever received them. To this day, neither of them know about these letters. When she learned of their devotion (Bellatrix) and support (Narcissa) of Voldemort, however, she simply gave up on them as lost causes. She is sympathetic to the Order and would join in a heartbeat if asked. She and Ted tried to make their marriage work, but wound up divorcing in 1982 (their separation was amicable, and they remain on good terms). They had joint custody of Dora, which worked out fine. Even though she knew the split was for the best, she spent several years feeling alone since the rest of her family refused to speak to her and Sirius, the only one who still did, was in Azkaban. She finally met Curlis 'Chopper' Murphy, a man several years her junior, and he turned her life around. They married in November 1993, and are now expecting their first child together. Part of her hopes to try and reconnect with Bellatrix and Narcissa again, but doesn't really feel they would wish for that. She does, however, try to keep tabs on her nephews. Now that she's expecting her second child, all she wants is a chance to tell them her side of the story. [this journal is for roleplaying purposes only.
